We all remember when a poncho was the only thing keeping us from getting soaked when fishing while it was raining. A sheet of plastic with a hole in the center and if you were lucky, it had a hood. We are not sure if it kept us dry or channeled the water to make us wetter but those days are gone and all of us are very thankful for that.
Even then, most of us knew something had to be better. Looking like a walking pup tent just didn’t work and today we are truly blessed with materials and fits that make our outdoor gear choices like a second skin.
